Chapter 1
How it all began
It all started with a simple wish: to find a quiet, original place to take my girlfriend for a weekend. We wanted something different, not a classic hotel, not a run-of-the-mill Airbnb. A treehouse, a transparent bubble under the stars, a yurt deep in the woods.
The problem? No central website in Belgium to find these kinds of gems. You had to search everywhere, compare dozens of sources. So I built what was missing.
I built this site because it didn't exist.
Today, it's the Belgian reference.

Chapter 2
The project today
Logement Insolite lists 194+ unique stays: treehouses, transparent bubbles, tiny houses, yurts, castles, houseboats… The site is free for visitors and designed to be the starting point for any search for an unusual stay in Belgium.
It's a 100% independent, self-funded project, with no investor. Just me, some code and a lot of coffee. I handle everything: development, design, content, SEO, and a Facebook community of 40 900+ enthusiasts.
Chapter 3 · The dream
Funding la CabÂne
My longer-term dream? To build la CabÂne, an unusual place all our own. A quiet spot, surrounded by nature, designed for couples who want to disconnect.
This site is also a way to fund that dream, step by step. Every stay that joins the platform, every visitor who finds what they're looking for here, brings this project a little closer to reality.
